It is time for celebration! After a year of dedicated work and numerous successes, the winter season has arrived. Many of our team members and business partners will be spending their Christmas with loved ones. As we bring 2023 to a close, we embarked on a tour of Wildwuchs Brauwerk Hamburg, a brewery not far from our research campus. Brewing stands as one of the oldest applications of industrial biotechnology in human history. While rooted in science, a significant part of the brewing process is an art form, yielding delicious results. Following a comprehensive tour of the production site, we indulged in a beer tasting. Once again, we were captivated by the myriad colors, flavors, foams, and other qualities that can be crafted with just a few inputs—namely, water, hops, malt, and yeast. Just as in the artistry of brewing, COLIPI’s oil “brewing” processes can produce versatile and sustainable oil qualities with minimal inputs. While we eagerly anticipate 2024, for now, let’s revel in the joy of celebration. Warm regards from the COLIPIan team!
